D.S.S. 5.3 Pro MODular
  When you combine the strength of the D.S.S. Pro MODular™ short block with new PI cylinder heads you have a foundation for making power. Pro MODular™ short blocks produce substantially more power than a worn out stock short block or even a fresh factory crate motor.  This extra horsepower is obtained from the balancing tactics employed on all DSS short blocks. The Forged D.S.S. pistons also afford more power by allowing the use of nitrous, boost and larger cam profiles.  With many options available for cylinder heads, compression ratio and camshafts this combination is capable of significantly greater power than the factory engine.  Pro MODular™ longblock blocks allow you to take advantage of the bolt-on performance parts you have now and open up your possibilities for the future.
