This is the same crankshaft that is
installed in our 306 Bullet, Pro Bullet, and Super Pro Bullet short
blocks. These hand picked cranks are thermally cleaned, shot-peened, Magna
Fluxed, and then the oil holes are scooped and chamfered and the crank journals are precision
ground and micro-polished. This crank also includes matching tri-metal
bearings.

These affordable nodular iron crankshafts are much less
expensive than comparable forged cranks, yet are much stronger than the
commonly used offset-ground production cranks. All nodular iron cranks
feature knife-edged and cam-shaped counterweights, and lightening holes on
all rod throws.

D.S.S. forged steel crankshafts are made
of premium aircraft quality steel using a vacuum degassed forging
process to ensure a clean and pure crankshaft. Each crankshaft has
been visually inspected, X-rayed, magna fluxed, ultrasonic tested and
finished with a multi-stage heat induction hardened to HRC60, and micro
polished to 5 RMS for superior wear resistance.
